The Mental Health Association of Rockland (MHA) is proud to announce that it now operates all CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) services in the Rockland community. CASA’s mission is to be a powerful voice in a child’s life, and to speak for abused, neglected and at-risk children who engage with the Family Court. CASA recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who advocate for this vulnerable population. CASA’s work is objective and comprehensive, and expedites permanency planning and placement of each child.
CASA of Rockland has provided specialized services to at-risk children and their families for the past 25 years. In addition to advocacy, CASA offers supervised visitation services and home studies. All three of these services are now a complementary addition to the array of children and family service programs offered by MHA of Rockland. MHA is committed to excellence, and invested in the continued success of these valuable CASA programs in our community.
The mission of the Mental Health Association of Rockland is to provide preventive, supportive, treatment, and advocacy services to children and adults in the Rockland community.
