Reach One Implementation

The Mental Health Association of Rockland (MHA) is proud to announce that we have partnered with Independent Living, Inc. and PEOPLE, Inc. to implement Reach One, a regional Recovery Center serving Rockland, Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess Counties. This Mid-Hudson Regional Recovery Center provides proactive peer engagement and services for people with psychiatric diagnoses and/or chemical addiction. Individuals are assisted with attaining self identified goals through peer support, wellness and recovery counseling, assistance with employment, education, access to social and recreational opportunities, housing, and integrated physical and mental health care. Peer Recovery Specialists based in all four Counties conduct outreach to marginalized individuals with the goals of preventing hospitalization, encouraging people to take charge of their recovery, promoting gainful employment and social inclusion, and maximizing connection to existing resources.

MHA of Rockland has provided recovery oriented services to members of the Rockland community for more than 62 years. This Reach One initiative is now a complementary addition to our array of services to adults impacted by mental health and/or substance use issues. It deepens our menu of strength based resources through which recovery is not only possible, but is expected.
